Do I have to do anything in preparation for either small group training or Brain,Body and Balance program?
It would be a good idea to see your doctor before starting an exercise program, but after that we do an assessment before starting. Each trainer is attuned to working with seniors and providing the best personal service for you
Do I need to have any equipment?
No, the trainer will bring all the necessary equipment to ensure that you have a great workout.
How do I know if the program is helping me improve?
Each client is reassessed every 3 months to determine how much improvement has been made through the exercise program.
What will I be doing during an Omni Fitt class?
All programs are designed to increase muscular strength, the range of movement and activities for daily living. You’ll have fun in a positive group environment. Members will use a variety of equipment including hand weights, exercise bands, body bars and balls. A chair is used for seated or standing support.
During the classes will I be exercising on the floor?
In the Brain, Body, Balance Program No, the program is a standing circuit like a workout

The Small Group Training program comprises of both standing and floor exercises

How do I prepare for my first class?
Each participant has to fill out a fill out some registration and health forms. Make sure you arrive 20 minutes early before the first class to meet your Omni Fitt coach.
What do I wear?
Participants should wear whatever they feel comfortable in. For your feet, flat- soled shoes with a good grip are ideal for good stability and balance.
Can I go to more than one program location?
Yes, you can go to more than one program as long as they indicate it to an Omni Fitt Coach at the time of registration.
Can I go to the program if I use a cane or have trouble standing for long periods?
Unfortunately, the program requires that each participant be able to stand, move and walk independently of canes, walkers or wheelchairs.   If you are unsure that you fit the program guidelines, please contact us at 416-450-0892 beforehand.

What kind of physical issues can an exercise program address?
Omni Fitt workouts are designed to address balance, coordination,posture, strength and flexibility issues regardless of you having a cane, walker, wheel chair or no aids. All Omni Fitt programs are geared to address such issues as gait, osteoporosis, hip/knee replacements pre/post surgery and more.
Can a beginner join Omni Fitt classes?
All programs are designed for senior and adults of all fitness levels. Beginners enjoy the welcoming and supportive environment provided by Eric and the Omni Fitt team. Modifications to all exercises are always provided ensuring a safe and positive experience every time. However each participant should be able to stand, walk and move independent of using a cane,walker or wheelchair.
How long is a session?
Each session is an hour long
